How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Stationery

Call me biased, but to me, choosing your Wedding Stationery is just as important as choosing your Venue, Cake and even Dress!! (Yes! I said it…)

…Well, when you think about it, your Wedding Stationery is weaved throughout your whole Wedding, starting with your Save the Dates and Invitations through to your Ceremony and Reception Elements and ending with your Thank You Cards

So how do you choose your perfect Wedding Stationery?

Well, below are some of the things I consider when designing the perfect Wedding Stationery for my clients along with some tips that you can use when choosing your Stationery:

My Bespoke Design Process always begins with a Consultation, where I love getting to know more about my couples and their vision for their day. I like to know about their story, how they met… who proposed and how… whether they like patterns, vibrant colours or neutrals… knowing these details help me to develop a ‘Wedding Style’ that I use as the foundation for their design.

Together with your fiance you could sit down and ask yourself some of these questions too. By doing so, you’re actually trying to develop your ‘Wedding Style’ (that can also be used throughout the rest of your day), ideally it should be a reflection of you both!

Here, I am looking beyond the obvious ‘colour scheme’ or ‘theme’ in a hope that I can pick up on some personal details that can be incorporated into your design concept.

So whether you’re opting for Bespoke Wedding Stationery or you’re choosing from a pre-designed Collection, look for ways to make it more personal to you…

Maybe you’re getting married on a special date that you would like to emphasise 10.10.2020 or 20.10.20?

Maybe you have strong cultural backgrounds that you would like incorporated into the design…

Maybe one of you have a family crest, or you’d like to create a custom family crest or monogram that you will use in your design…

Maybe you share hobbies or have a favourite quote or Scripture that you could use as the basis of your design.

It could even be something very subtle, but meaningful to you – for example one of my clients fell in love with and chose a Diamante Embellishment because it resembled her engagement ring.

Many of my clients are high profile couples whose guest lists consist of more high profile individuals, as such, many of my clients want a formal Invitation and use words such as elegant, timeless and classic to describe their style as they understand that their Wedding Invitations will set the tone for their day.

So, you should decide on the style and tone you want for your day, as this too will make up the basis of your design and continue throughout your Wedding Stationery…

And finally, whilst the perfect Wedding Stationery does not have to blow out your budget! You really should set a budget and don’t be afraid to let your Designer know what it is.

As you can imagine, these days design options are truly limitless and it’s easy to get carried away adding in all the additional extras. But by declaring your budget, your Stationery Designer will only recommend and show you options that are within your budget (saving you heartache, an overstretched budget and FOMO).

So hopefully these tips will help you choose the perfect Wedding Stationery for your day, and of course if you would like to discuss your ideas with me, please feel free to CONTACT me or CLICK HERE to schedule a Complimentary 15 minute Call with me.
