How To Work Out Your Wedding Invitation Budget

Whether you’re looking for Bespoke Wedding Invitations or opting for Ready to Order Wedding Invitations you’ll need to know how much money you have to spend before you begin your search!

A simple way to work out your Wedding Invitation budget is to allocate approximately 1% of your overall Wedding budget.

So, to keep it simple, if your overall Wedding budget is £100k, then your Wedding Invitation budget will be £1k.

You may end up spending more (or less) than this amount, but it’s a good starting point that you can adjust depending on the level of importance you place on your Wedding Invitations.

Initially it might seem like a bit of a kill-joy having to work out budgets for every element of your day, but ultimately it is worth it because knowing how much you have to spend on your Wedding Invitations will save you:

  • Time – from meeting with Stationery Designers that you can’t afford…
  • Disappointment – from seeing Wedding Invitations that are not within your budget…
  • Overspending – on Wedding Invitations that are outside of your budget!

You’ll also need to factor into that budget a 10% contingency for some of the ‘hidden costs’ you may not have budgeted for –  such as…

  • Cost of Samples/Consultations (always, always, always order a Sample from your chosen Wedding Invitation Designer if they don’t offer Consultations)
  • Cost of Delivery (find out whether this is included in the price or not)
  • Cost of Postage Stamps

As you can imagine, these hidden costs can all begin to add up!!

So that’s it! Hopefully, these tips will be helpful for you, as there can be a lot to consider when it comes to your Wedding Invitations.

Happy planning…

Love, Leonie xx
